Responsible to the Associate Merchandise Manager, Outdoor Power Equipment for providing purchasing, administrative and technical assistance to the programs and processes designed to support the Dealers.
Assist the Merchandise and Associate Merchandise Manager, along with Dealers in category execution.
Maintain system database with accurate Supplier and product information including cost and retail pricing.
Perform product performance analysis reporting - Sales / Vendor comparisons for assortment planning.
Communicate and resolve Dealer inquiries and issues in a timely manner.
Collaborate with internal departments to coordinate supplier correspondence for items, Markets, bookings, non-compliance and other day to day issues.
Coordinate bulk buy drop shipments and related Direct Ship Programs, monthly and seasonal bookings for Dealers, advertising collateral, along with proofing all flyer events. Support promotional programs and marketing initiatives.
Assist with coordinating semi-annual Markets for supplier submissions, Dealer order information and promotional materials.
Perform general administrative duties as required for the smooth operation of the department and other duties assigned by the Merchandise Management Team.
College or University courses in business preferred, with minimum three year’s business, retail, and/or wholesale experience in the hardware industry a definite asset.
Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Discoverer.
Working knowledge of current systems and processes a definite asset.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and in a team environment.
Ability to prioritize and react to changing situations in a busy, fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
Excellent organizational skills, phone manner and communication skills.
Willingness to work extended hours when needed.
