Regional Sales Manager

Our client is an established leader in the promotional products marketplace. They are located in the US and are now making a second hire to their Canadian team. They have asked Paul Huffman of TalentHunt to assist them in their search for a well seasoned sales executive with a knack for building on existing relationships for the role of Regional Sales Manager to look after Eastern Canada (Manitoba East onwards)


RESPONSIBILITIES


  • 90% of the role is building relationships and selling into existing distributor accounts
  • Develop these accounts by understanding their needs, providing feedback, product review, analysis and solutions on a regular basis
  • Consistent activity to develop new accounts in assigned territory
  • Work with an assigned inside sales representative to maximize territory penetration
  • Work with inside sales, customer service and product solution teams to achieve maximum sales
  • Participate in trade shows and other events as needed
  • Stay informed on industry trends as well competitor activities
  • Collaborate with marketing and advertising as much as possible to increase account growth
  • Provide weekly reports to sales leadership team

    • QUALIFICATIONS:


      • Must Have: 5+ years of similar experience of selling into distributors
      • Sales experience in same or related industry a huge asset
      • Comfortable with being on the road most of the time (70%) to cover all assigned accounts
      • Strong relation building skills with ability to provide solutions to meet customer needs
      • Superb interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
      • Demonstrated ability to handle negotiations
      • Valid driver's license and ability to lift 40 lbs if needed
      • University degree or post any secondary education
